No dues, no committment, no overhead!

The Mass Bay Bears don’t have a defined “membership”. Show up, help make things happen, you’re a member. No required sign-ups, no special cards, call yourself a Mass Bay Bear and you are one.

You’re invited to subscribe to use this website, to receive email, but even without any of that you’re welcome to consider yourself a Mass Bay Bear.

We do ask, as a way of saying thank you to those folks who’ve helped make the events possible, that you help out. We’re deliberately vague on what that means, it’s really up to you.

Hosting an event for us would be GREAT! - we’re here to help you put it together, get the word out. If you don’t think you’re yet up to hosting then how about being helpful at the events? Heck, just making a point of walking up to 1 or 2 new folks and saying “Hello” is a fantastic contribution.

If you do have an idea for an event then get in touch with the office staff and we’ll walk you through putting it together! It’s not hard, and again, we’re here to help you. Things like non-conflicting dates, tips of what has worked for others, putting your event on the announcement list, that’s what we’re here for.
