We will help you scare up a good time.
The MB Lounge in Worcester is hosting a Bear Night on Saturday night, July 28.
The Blackstone Canal was an engineering marvel connecting Worcester to Providence when it opened in 1828. However it was soon replaced by railroad and fell into disuse a mere twenty years later. Now it’s a well maintained trail route through woods, wilds, & old orchards; sometimes along the old tow-path, other places in the former canal bed.
We’ll meet at the parking of River Bend Farm in Uxbridge at 2pm and from there carpool ‘upriver’ to our starting point. Parking & admission are free. The path is level and generally well-maintained so everyone should be comfortable. We’ll be walking about 3 miles. Dogs are welcome. Afterwards everyone is invited to join us for a family-style dinner at Wrights Farm.

An island connected to the mainland by colonial settlers it now boasts fantastic vistas of the sea, harbor, and shore from it’s paved paths. Join the Bears & friendly fellas for an exploration of it’s beauty, from the green lawns to dramatic cliffs overlooking Mass Bay.
We’ll meet in the parking lot at noon, and return to it at 2pm. Car pooling is suggested. Trustees members free, nonmembers $5. The walking is moderate so everyone should be comfortable. Afterwards everyone is invited to lunch nearby.
