Hello all,

I just wanted to pass along notice of an event that occurs in Stowe, VT, the first week of February— Feb 1-5, to be exact. I apologize for the late notice, but better late than never.

“Winter Rendezvous” is the only GLBT ski event in New England, and is always a lot of fun (I have been attending for the past 10 years). From Thursday to Sunday, we ski (downhill and cross country), board, snowshoe, and hike during the day, and party at night. There is also nightly entertainment (in years past we
have welcomed Lea Delaria, the Kinsey Sicks, Second City, as well as musical acts such as Betty and Patty
Larkin).

Attendance is usually around 125-150 (has been as much as 250 at it’s peak), with about 90% men, 10% women. Even some bears! The price includes discounted lift tickets, 2 nights of entertainment; and depending on the package, 2 decent meals. Lodging is up to you (there are suggestions on the website, below).

The event has always been notoriously under-publicized, especially in Vermont. It would be great to get the word out! Check out the link below and mention it to anyone that you think might be interested. On the site, you will find a gallery, and some info about this year’s entertainment. Note that the entertainment is open to all- you can buy tickets (I think they are $15.00) at the door, the night of the show. Following the entertainment there is always a gathering at the Commodores Inn in the village, and dancing into the night. A fun time is had by all.
